Body pulled from River Severn is missing stab brother

A body discovered in the River Severn in Shropshire is that of a missing man whose brother was found stabbed to death at home, police have confirmed.
Ted Corbett, 66, disappeared on 21 December after the body of his brother John was discovered at their home in St Georges, Telford, police said.
John Corbett had a stab wound to his neck and injuries to his head and face, an inquest opening heard.
Police confirmed on Friday the river body was missing brother Ted Corbett.
His body was discovered late on Tuesday afternoon and he was formally identified from his dental records, West Mercia Police said.
The force said it was preparing a report for the inquest which is due to be held.
Officers said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.
A car believed to belong to Ted Corbett was found parked near the River Severn in Cressage on 21 December, the day his brother’s body was discovered at home in The Nabb.
Police were alerted by a member of the public to a possible sighting of a body in the Severn at about 1640 GMT on Tuesday.
